‘Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny’ (‘Indiana Jones and the call of destiny’) is the title chosen by the Lucasfilm studio (The Walt Disney Company) for the fifth adventure of the most famous archaeologist on the big screen, which will come to theaters on June 23.
Lucasfilm and Disney made it public this Thursday after months of keeping the full name a secret and took the opportunity to release the official trailer for the film.
A 105-second advance in which no clues are given about the plot of the tape but a clear message is sent to the fans of the franchise: at 75 years old, Harrison Ford is in top shape to face dozens of action scenes and many other obstacles.
The trailer opens with dizzying jumps from Indiana between speeding tuk-tuks to the archaeologist taking his chances on a moving train or riding a motorcycle in heavy rain.
Finally, ‘Indy’ –as he is popularly known– is seen focused on the new professional stage towards which his life has turned: teaching.
Until now, the closest approach of fans to ‘Indiana Jones 5’ had been a brief preview projected during Disney’s annual convention, D23 Expo, and in which the visual aspect that the film would have was barely specified.
